Convenient & Saves Time

As much as we love eating our fruits and veggies, we don’t really have the time to eat 4-7 servings of produce a day. I would eat a salad every day for lunch, but would like to have a proper heartier meal for dinner with my husband, which usually consists of more meat and some sort of starch. Being able to make a smoothie that we can bring to work or save at home, makes life so much easier and convenient to be able to get our nutrients into our busy daily lives. I normally like to drink my smoothie first thing in the morning at work or before dinner, while Ethan likes to drink his smoothie closer to end of his work shift (afternoon snack). However you plan on drinking it is entirely at your own leisure. I tend to make enough for 3 smoothie bottles.


Vitamix Brand

After trying many different blenders, we found that the Vitamix was the best one on the market! We wanted a blender that was versatile and strong enough to puree a smoothie and not leave any bits or pieces. This blender can do just that! It’s professional grade and very powerful, yet the blade is safe enough as it is not sharp. We actually bought a reconditioned one from the Vitamix website, where they normaly replace the motor on any returned blenders and would sell if for a bit of a discount. Here’s one similar to it on Amazon Vitamix 5200 Blender, Black. We’ve been happy with it ever since and have been using it for a few years now and haven’t had any issues with it at all. This Vitamix is a good quality blender that’s worth the cost.


What You Can Make

I have made smoothies, juice, soup, and sauces. The ingredient list is never ending. You can get creative and experiment on items you have at home, in your garden or what’s in season. I’ve gone from using so many fruits and veggies and been trying to reduce sugar, by using less fruits and adding apple cider vinegar, lemon, sea salt for a savory palette to go with more veggies. Regardless of which smoothie we make, we always add some sort of superfood and additional ingredients (garlic, ginger) for healthier benefits. Might as well add as much nutrients as possible right? ūüôā
